Drop in to the Western Rother Beaver Group’s open day to have your say about beavers!
Meet members of the group, discover the benefits and challenges of beaver reintroductions and give your thoughts about the potential beaver release in this area.
Working together the WRBG is collecting evidence to demonstrate how the Western Rother catchment could be a potential area for a Beaver release.
The WRBG includes representatives from the Environment Agency, Forestry Commission, Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, National Trust, Natural England, NFU, RSPB, South Downs National Park Authority, Southern Water, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Western Sussex Rivers Trust and Wild Trout Trust.
The group is the main point of contact for community support for the potential Beaver release, working closely with the Sussex Beaver Advisory group, so now is the time to raise any concerns and talk through any potential opportunities in the Western Rother area.
