A cinematic and musical odyssey that explores the remarkable relationship between humans and rivers with a presentation by our CEO Aimee Felus.

Throughout history, rivers have shaped our landscapes and our journeys, and have played a distinct role in forming human civilization. RIVER takes its audience on a journey through space and time; spanning six continents, drawing on extraordinary contemporary cinematography, including satellite filming, the film shows rivers on scales and from perspectives never seen before. The combination of image, music and sparse, poetic script creates a film that is both dream-like and powerful, honouring the wildness of rivers but also recognises their vulnerability.

RIVER is partnering with The Rivers Trust, an environmental charity working to protect, promote and enhance UK freshwater ecosystems. CEO of the Western Sussex Rivers Trust, Aimee Felus will relate the messages in the film to the context in West Sussex and the River Arun in particular.

This event is part of Arundel’s Great Big Green Week, hosted by Greening Arundel. Donations to the WSRT will be gratefully received at the door or can be made through our donation page.
